The struggle among mobile manufacturers to attract potential users and win their trust has broadened users’ choices. Vivo is also trying to cope with its competitors and make its users satisfied. Vivo Y23 5G, launched in January 2022, is a good initiative in this regard.
The price of the phone in Bangladesh is ৳39,900 excluding VAT; yes, quite higher, but it sounds justified after going through the phone’s features. Besides other fascinating features, its dual auto-focused Front camera and color-changing back when exposed to sunlight make it unique, compared to other Vivo editions.
Unique Design
Vivo V23 5G is available in two elegant colors; Stardust Black and Sunshine Gold. Interestingly, both colors are slightly different in thickness and weight. The thickness of Stardust Black is 7.39 mm, and Sunshine Gold is 7.55 mm. Similarly, the weight of Stardust black is 179 g, and Sunshine Gold is 181 g. Other Dimensions of both colors are the same, having a length of 157.20 mm and a width of 72.42 mm.
It’s the first phone packed with a glass back that unusually changes its color with the sun’s ultraviolet rays, making it appealing and delightful. Its front is made of glass with Schott Xensation Up protection, a chemical-strengthened glass protection of the next generation.
Stunning Display
This phone comes with a 6.44-inches AMOLED Display, which gives a 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution. It provides a smooth shift in screens with its 90Hz refresh rate. The display contains 16 million color combinations but also has a “color mode” option that allows the user to manually change the display’s color temperature.
In terms of display details, it’s a 409 PPI pixel density which gives good details in images and videos. The phone has a 64-bit architecture to support all the latest apps and systems. It also has an AnTuTu score of 481,844, a Geekbench single-core score of 740, and a Geekbench multi-core score of 2,122. This score shows a measurement of the overall performance, the size of the actual storage of memory, and its processing speed.
The heat management system of the phone is remarkable in the sense that it has Aluminum alloy (liquid cooling system) that helps to reduce heat during heavy, demanding games and using too many applications simultaneously.
Efficient Battery
A 4200 mAh, non-removable, Lithium-Polymer battery is embedded in Vivo V23. However, the 44W fast charging capability of the phone balances this small decrease from 5000 mAh. On the other hand, Vivo could have easily installed a 5000 mAh battery, but then they would have had to compromise on the phone’s width.
With the 44W fast charging, the battery charges up to 68% in just 30 minutes. Moreover, it provides a video playback time of about 15 hours, a talk time of 25 hours, and a standby time of 105 hours. So, with this charging speed and battery time, the battery can easily fulfill the user’s needs.
Elegant Camera
Vivo V23 5G is embedded with a triple camera setup, including 64MP GW1 super sensing wide camera along with 8MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro camera at the back. The Aperture size of all the rear cameras is f/1.89, f/2.2, and f/2.4, respectively. It also supports dual-tone LED Flash for low-light photo/video shooting.
At the front side, again, there is a dual camera setup of 50MP. It has an auto-focusing feature using ISOCEL 3.0 technology that provides comprehensive photo content of solid colors with every minute detail. The aperture size of this camera is f/2.0. The second front camera is 8MP with Ultra-wide utility with f/2.28 Aperture.
It is worth mentioning that V23 5G is one of the rare devices embedded with a dual camera setup at the front. As far as the other features and modes of the rear camera are concerned, all are placed simple and easy to use.

The phone has an in-built memory of 128 GB and no support for an external SD Card. However, the UFS memory type makes the phone superior to the one with an eMMC memory interface. As far as its security is concerned, the phone is equipped with an all-time popular in-display fingerprint reader and Face Unlock features. Vivo maintained its camera-related content creation accuracy in both the rear and front cameras, loaded with effects and features of great importance along with 4K videos and perfect resolution. It may be a smart choice if you are interested in camera work.
However, having low OIS, the absence of a 3.5 mm Jack, the competitiveness of a 4200 mAh battery, and the nonexistence of SD Card support are the few things that need to be kept in mind as per your priority.
